Apply to the APF Fellows Program


The Summer 2019 APF Fellows Program application is now closed. Please sign up to get the 2020 application once it is released.


STEP 1: Determine your eligibility.

All applicants must be 18 years of age or older by June 22, and:

  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or have graduated after the summer of 2011.

  • Hold U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency, and live in the United States.

  • Be eligible to travel to Pakistan with their current status and/or obtain a visa (APF will assist with this process).

  • Applicants are required to pay for their own round trip airfare, food, visa, and miscellaneous expenses. 

  • Financial assistance from APF is available on a case-by-case basis and can be requested via the application form.

  • NRSP will provide local housing and transportation.  Fellows must use provided housing and transportation.

  • Be available and willing to travel to and live in Pakistan for eight weeks.

  • APF Fellows are required to work full time, 5-6 days a week for eight weeks and must participate in all fellowship-related activities.

  • Approximate participation costs:

    • Round trip airfare: $1,700 - $2,000

    • Food + miscellaneous expenses: $1,000

    • Travel insurance + visa (if applicable): $275

    • Total approximate participation costs: $2,975 - $3275.

  • All requirements must be met to be eligible.

  • Please note that final placements and program dates are subject to change.
